13 November 2024 – Manila, Philippines – The Creator and Influencer Council of the Philippines (CICP) is proud to announce the newly elected Board of Officers and Directors for 2025. This esteemed group of individuals represents some of the country’s top talent in digital influence, brand partnerships, and media innovation.

Founded in 2019, CICP aims to shape, inspire, educate, and empower the creator and influencer industry in the Philippines. Fast growing in size and renown, this organization of creators, influencers, and marketers makes CICP also one of the youngest in the marketing and communications industry. Created to foster community and leadership, CICP holds trainings, initiatives, and projects that benefit its members and stakeholders. In the last two years alone, the organization has made its mark nationwide and setting new standards for and partnerships with industry sectors.

For members, CICP champions the creator and influencer industry in the Philippines, maximizing current platforms and use cases to understand both the client and creative perspectives of the business, access to key professionals and leaders to ensure long-lasting careers of stakeholders in the digital economy.

Taking the lead for 2025, Jel Directo of Hepmil Philippines, shares, “As the incoming President of CICP, I’m excited to lead our community through a transformative year for the creator industry.

In 2025, my priorities will center on empowering creators through education, enhancing industry standards in partnership with the Ad Standards Council, and championing integrity during this election season. We’ll also be driving corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in areas where creators’ influence is most impactful—such as anti-scam campaigns—to safeguard audiences and foster a culture of responsible influence.

A key focus will also be on transparency and accountability within our organization, emphasizing active member feedback and engagement. Together, we’ll work toward a thriving, trustworthy ecosystem that uplifts Philippine creators. Here’s to a dynamic year of growth and innovation!”

CICP 2025 Board are:

Two founding directors of CICP served in the Comelec. Says Donald Lim of Dito CME, “CICP was created with the creators and influencers in mind, and to help them navigate the space of marketing, advertising and business by complementing them with the right information, network and technologies for them to reach their full potential. The Philippines is a country of Creators, and I wish for nothing more than creating an army of world-class creators that will influence and drive positive change in and outside the country. This is CICP’s vision, and with the gathering of the best minds in this year’s board, I urge the new leaders to work together passionately and relentlessly to make it happen.”

Echoing fellow founder, Jim Guzman of Unilab, is enthusiastic with the election results, “Congratulations to the new CICP board! I hope and I am sure that the newly elected officers will continue carrying on CICP’s mission to set the gold standard when it comes to content creation and influencer marketing, not just for creators but across brands, agencies and partners it represents. In the past years, we’ve seen a lot of challenges that the industry had to face and endure. CICP needs to continue staying at the forefront of these, leading its members and stakeholders towards the right direction. Influencer marketing is already and industry on its own. CICP was built to look after it, unite the industry and create a harmonious relationship among its members and stakeholders.

In less than five years since its inception, CICP means business and continues to make its mark on an industry that’s always on edge focused on the near future. Having steered the organization for 2024, Jako De Leon can be credited for his contribution to the organization’s current state.

Says De Leon, “This 2025 Board is stellar, and it really excites me to know that the future of the CICP is in good hands. This formidable line-up of very dedicated, competent and highly-capable individuals beautifully represent and showcase the various sectors that comprise our beloved industry. So not only do they have my best wishes, but they also have my full confidence and support as well.

In the past year, we simply wanted to steer things in the right direction which meant strengthening our org’s foundation, partnerships and roots, as well as watering the seeds we have planted since the very start. And now, as we begin yet another chapter in our organization’s future — our fifth year at that — the priority now for our newly-elected leaders is to shift gears, put all our efforts to full throttle, and hopefully take the CICP to even greater heights in every way imaginable.”

Directo has already hit the ground running, sleeves rolled and not losing momentum from the inroads already carved. The leader adds, “This is a critical time to reinforce creator education, elevate industry standards, and foster a culture of integrity and accountability. I plan to prioritize five key areas:

  1. Creator Education – We will expand training and development initiatives, equipping creators with the knowledge and skills to succeed and adapt in a rapidly evolving landscape.
  2. Industry Dialogues – By enhancing our partnership with the Ad Standards Council and engaging in meaningful dialogues, we aim to set clearer, more robust standards that support creators and protect consumers.
  3. Integrity and Accountability – In line with the upcoming elections, we are committed to promoting transparency, fair practices, and high ethical standards within the creator community.
  4. Influence for Good – We will continue to lead anti-scam campaigns, empowering creators to use their platforms responsibly and protect their audiences from harmful practices.
  5. Organizational Transparency – Under my leadership, CICP will work with a board that values feedback, transparency, and accountability, ensuring that our council remains responsive to the needs of our members.

Together with the CICP board, members, and our industry partners, I am excited to champion the voices of creators and foster a thriving, trustworthy ecosystem. Here’s to an inspiring year of growth and innovation for Philippine creators!”
